If you know me, you know I connect to music. If you don't, you'd catch on pretty quick when you saw my iTunes library, my enormous record collection and all the CD's from highschool that I refuse to throw away (seriously - thousands). If there's a song about an emotion I'm feeling, I want to hear it. It's the best way for me to express my feelings and find someone to relate too.
So, in October 2010, I started searching. I was NOT disappointed.
Some of my favorites are listed below:
I debated on whether or not to post this song. Not because I don't like it, but because it's kind of like a slap in the face. Just because I don't have a baby, doesn't mean I'm less than you. Infertility does not define who I am, just as having a baby does not define who YOU are. That's what this song is really about. Don't define me- I'm still a woman. I still have all the same emotions as a mother, I just feel them in a different way.
There you have it. The biggest connections I've made in the past 2.5 years haven't been to people (other than my husband), they haven't been to doctors, or my fertility chart...they've been to music. They've been to these songs.
