Yet another trip...

We spent about an hour and a half in Labor and Delivery tonight. *sigh* I can't help but be overly cautious. I have no idea what to expect being that this is my first pregnancy. I started having some spotting and contractions last night and it lasted into today so I thought it best to call my doctor. Well, his office was closed so I ended up calling Labor and Delivery. They said to come on in so they could check me. Needless to say, I wasn't even having contractions. Apparently, Layla is just SO freakin big, that she hurts when she moves. I should not be surprised by this because when we went back in November, it was the same issue. She moves, it feels like a contraction. But, I keep reminding myself- I have a very short torso so most likely, any movement will hurt at least a little. The spotting ended up just being "normal" because it wasn't bright red. Needless to say, being in Labor and Delivery in the middle of this snowstorm/blizzard (that isn't really happening) was not how I wanted to spend my evening. But, it's better to be safe than sorry and Layla is safe and wiggling like a worm in there! I couldn't be happier!

Meanwhile, look what came for our sweet babes today:

A bit ironic on the timing (thanks Nemo) but I don't think they could be any cuter. Layla will be a beach bum for sure! I can't wait to take her to the beach. It's such an amazing sensory experience. Tons of things to touch, hear, taste, see and smell all at once- and it changes by the second! There isn't much better than that in my book :). I cannot wait to see my baby girl in her bathing suit, shades and beach hat soakin' up the summer sun and enjoying the salty water splashing her skin.
