Let's just talk for a second about being 31 weeks pregnant with a serious cough (STILL!) and a cracked rib- shall we? I can't breathe. Like literally, I cannot. It hurts and Layla is up high (here I thought I was finally dropping...but I guess not). So basically, I can't breathe. I'm really REALLY hoping that with our next pregnancy, I don't get a cracked rib. I really have no pregnancy related complaints...but this cracked rib is for the birds.
Anyways, our little girl is growing away in there! I was FINALLY able to get a video of her squirming around in there (I have, seriously, been trying for weeks but every time i get the camera out, she goes to sleep!). You can watch it below :). I went through all of the clothes we have for her so far and it took me over 2 hours. She has more clothes and shoes that Matt and I have COMBINED! I swear, this child will never be naked haha! While we have a TON of clothes, we have no where to put them right now :(. We're still in the "house buying" process and likely won't be finished until she's here SO we're waiting on setting everything up until we're in our home. It makes it kinda hard because all I want to do is work on her nursery but I can't. There's so much to do to prepare for her arrival and not very much time left. It's a LOT of work- but it's good work :). I love it- but, I'll never decide to buy a house again while in the last part of my pregnancy. EVER.
Matt's pretty smitten with her lately. I love it. He's always rubbing my belly, kissing it, talking to her or listening to her heartbeat with our stethoscope. Now that we've started talking about all the places we can take her and things we can show her, he's even more excited for her arrival.
And this is my ENORMOUS 31 week belly! |
Layla and I are cheering for the Pats tonight! |

mmmm a brownie earthquake from DQ. I have been craving this ALL week long! |
Next weekend, we are taking our maternity photos. I decided not to use a photographer and do them myself...I know, I know. It sounds super lame but, I'm going to experiment and try a few new things with some rented lenses. I'm a little nervous but pretty excited. I'll be taking Layla's newborn photos when she arrives as well. I've been looking at some small, feminine props for her to use and I'm VERY excited about it actually :). Having her around is going to be such a blast!
I almost forgot! Here's my girl, squirming around :). I literally have probably 15 videos of my belly without any movement that I need to delete lol. She's so camera shy!
