As I mentioned, we decided to do our maternity photos ourselves. It was a little difficult but a lot of fun :). We still have yet to do any outdoors photos because it was freakin COLD up here today! That's really ok though. Since we found out I was pregnant and was going to be big through the later part of the winter, I've wanted to do a majority of them indoors. Just the two of us (and Layla of course!) in a natural setting. I actually LOVE the photos Matt took of just me. I'll have to post the "behind the scenes" photos at some point (the hilarious ones!) because those are always funny to see :). I've been googling "at home maternity session" or "home maternity" for months now and, while I did find some inspiration, I kind of tried to make them my own. Of course, Pinterest helps too...but you know, EVERYONE uses Pinterest so it's a bit hard to be original. That's ok though, I love them and I know exactly which one(s) I want to hang on our wall! I've loaded them in 2 forms. One as a video/slideshow and one as just the regular photos. Just in case you don't feel like scrolling forEVER to see them all (we aren't done yet either! We're going to shoot for a few outdoors photos tomorrow. Let's all cross our fingers that it will be warmer!)

The book we're reading is called "What Comes in Spring". It's about a little girl asking her mother about all of the different seasons and the mothers favorite season is Spring because that is when her little girl was born. Seems fitting because Layla will be here right around Spring time.
This one is my favorite of just me. A big thanks to my hubs for being so patient with me! |
We have a photo just like this from a few years ago when we were still dating. I just love this <3 |
Frame worthy? No. Canvas worthy. |
Using our fetal stethoscope to hear Layla's heartbeat. I love this photo beyond words. |
I am OFFICIALLY 32 weeks pregnant. At this point, I'm worried she'll come early...and she may. But, I try to keep reminding myself that if she does it's ok. I also keep reminding myself that this is my first pregnancy and I have NO idea what to expect. It's been a long journey to meet this little girl and, honestly, I'm excited to see her face and for this part of our journey to parenthood to end so we can start the next part. Have I mentioned that I already have baby fever?
